This course gives candidates the appointed person first aid qualification. This is the minimum qualification required for a person appointed by an employer to take charge of First Aid arrangements.
Course content includes:
- Definition of First Aid
- Responsibilities of an appointed person
- Actions in an emergency
- Breathing & circulation
- Airway obstruction
- Resuscitation
- Treatment of bleeding
- Dressings & bandages
- Treatment of shock
Completion of the course:
Candidates will be practically assessed, and receive a course handout summarising the topics covered. Successful candidates will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate.
